Cathedral of Our Lady
Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal, or the Cathedral of Our Lady, Antwerp, was started in 1351 and, although the first stage of construction was ended in 1521, has never been 'completed'. In Gothic style, its architects were Jan and Pieter Appelmans.

The Castle of Ooidonk
The historically and culturally interesting site of Ooidonk is situated in one of the many meanders of the river Leie, between Ghent and Deinze, just beyond the centre of the village of Bachte-Maria-Leerne. The centre of the site is the 16th century stately home Ooidonk Castle built on the site of a 14th century fortress of which next to nothing is left.

Atomium
The Atomium is a monument built for Expo 58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. Designed by André Waterkeyn, it is 102-metres tall, with nine steel spheres connected so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times.
